While the fate of low-rated NBC sitcom Community seemed all but certain just a few weeks ago, it appears that the network is having a change of heart. Fresh off an uptick in ratings for last night’s season four finale, the folks over at Vulture report that NBC is very close to renewing Community for a fifth season. It’s unknown how many episodes the show would return for, but a shortened order seems likely.

NBC has renewed „Community“ for a fifth season, making it and „Parks and Recreation“ the only returning comedies on the network’s 2013 – 2014 schedule. „Community“ wrapped its fourth season on Thursday.

Now that Chase is gone, emotions have cooled down and all sides involved have had time to reflect, there is speculation that Harmon may come back, especially if this turns out to be Community‘s final chapter. (I’d heard that, with the show’s future at NBC in limbo, there were a number of suitors clamoring to pick up Community for a final installment.) There are no deals in place but I hear there certainly is interest in bringing Harmon back in some capacity.

Sowieso. Auch wenn’s mich überrascht. Dan wird vielleicht den Karren aus dem Dreck ziehen können, S4 war nun wirklich lahm und halbgar.

Warum genau ist die Nebenfigur Chase so wichtig für Community? Was hat er bitte Sinnvolles beigetragen? Frage mich warum/wann du Community überhaupt mochtest?!

Chase war in den ersten beiden (den wirklich guten) Staffeln genauso Hauptfigur wie der Rest und hat ebensoviel „Sinnvolles“ beigetragen.
